Beda Kuantitatif dan Kualitatif

Creswell (2008) menyebutkan perbedaan penggunaan kajian pustaka pada penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Pada penelitian kuantitatif, penggunaan kajian teori adalah bersifat substantif.
Akan tetapi memang ada perdebatan dalam hal ini. Untuk peneliti pemula, teori sangat penting karena untuk memandu mereka mengidentifikasi hasil penelitian. 
Perbedaan tersebut dapat dilihat pada tabel perbedaan antara penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif sebagai berikut.
